Water Mitigation Process:
When faced with damages from water intrusion into the home from leaking pipes, broken water heaters, or damaged roofs, a quick response is critical to prevent further damage. Fast response time to extract water from the property can save thousands from the mitigation of the property. Most materials can be dried and saved with minimal invasive drying techniques required. If the window of opportunity passes to safely dry out the materials then removal may be required.
Mold growth can start in as little as 48 hours under the right circumstances. Beginning the drying process will prevent these health hazards from starting.
With top tier industry equipment, no job is outside of the capabilities of NCM Construction to dry out. High performance dehumidifiers and high flow air movers allow us to dry out a property in a timely manner to get the property restored and back to pre-loss condition.
To ensure that we are fully mitigation the water damage we must fully inspect the property from top to bottom. Water can travel through wall cavities and mechanical passages of a property resulting in water appearing in adjacent rooms or even several rooms over.
To aid in our inspections crews are equipped with thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters to aid in identifying the extent of the damage.
Moisture mapping of the property involves creating floor plans of the affected areas and monitoring the moisture levels of the materials that are affected. Dry standards of unaffected areas are used as baseline to determine the saturation levels of materials and to track the progress of the drying of the structure.
Detailed job site documentation is key for for us being able to guarantee our work and is a necessity for insurance claims.
The restoration industry has guidelines in place to ensure that contractors are fully educated and trained in restoration drying techniques and practices. The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is the industry standard for emergency restoration. All jobs have IICRC certified technicians on site for the mitigation of the property. The on going continuing education and high standards ensures that our clients have the best restoration experience you can have under the circumstance.
